GrandMirrors

What I experienced during the development

My experience during the development of the Grand Mirrors website involved refining responsive layouts, troubleshooting website errors, and collaborating closely with the client to polish each section.

Grand Mirrors is a premium mirror brand that needed a sleek, responsive website to showcase its product range and customization options. I was responsible for building and refining the site from the ground up, blending clean design with technical precision.

My Role:

  • Contact us setup with third-party integration.
  • Troubleshooting layout and performance issues across devices.
  • Full-stack development using WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

Key Challenges:

  • Optimizing load speed without compromising image quality.
  • Ensuring responsive design across mobile, tablet, and desktop.
  • Integrating external tools while maintaining security and performance.
  • Creating a visually classic layout that didn't compromise usability or load speed.
  • Designing layouts and navigation that felt intuitive and polished on smaller screens.
  • Fixed misrouted domains that caused the site to be unreachable or redirected improperly.
  • Compressing and organizing high-resolution product images to maintain quality while improving load times.

Solutions & Highlights:

  • Compressed and retouched images for faster loading.
  • Minimized load times using lazy loading, caching strategies, and optimized asset delivery.
  • Conducted thorough testing to ensure consistent behavior and appearance across major browsers.
  • Built flexible layouts using media queries and flexbox to ensure seamless viewing across all devices.
  • Worked closely with the client to refine messaging, layout, and branding through multiple feedback rounds.
  • Structured HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for maintainability and scalability, allowing future updates with ease.
