What I experienced during the development

I was responsible for the full-cycle development of the Decovue website, a brand specializing in customizable mirror TVs that integrate technology with interior design.

I implemented product inquiry forms with backend email integration to support customer engagement, and conducted DNS configuration and troubleshooting to maintain site reliability.

My Role:

• Designed responsive product layouts.
• Optimized site performance and load speed.
• Presented live demos and implemented revisions.
• Built and customized the Decovue website using WordPress as the core CMS.
• Ensured cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness across all devices.
• Developed responsive layouts using WordPress themes and custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

Key Challenges:

• Layout bugs across mobile and tablet views.
• Form submission errors and SMTP misconfigurations.
• Cross-browser inconsistencies in styling and spacing.
• Customizing WordPress Themes to meet luxury branding standards while maintaining responsiveness and performance.
• DNS Configuration and Hosting Setup, resolving domain-related issues to ensure consistent uptime and accessibility.
• Optimizing Performance, including image compression, caching, and script management to meet modern speed expectations.
• Balancing Design and Functionality, ensuring the site remained visually elegant without compromising usability or load speed.

• Minified assets and implemented lazy loading for faster page loads.
• Provided clear instructions for future DNS edits and troubleshooting.
• Diagnosed and resolved layout shifts on mobile, tablet, and desktop views.

• Modified WordPress themes to meet Decovue's luxury branding standards while maintaining responsiveness and performance.
• Selected lightweight, compatible plugins for form handling, caching, and SEO to avoid bloat and ensure smooth functionality.
